Deputy Chief
Frank Burrow began his career with Miami
County EMS
in July 1989 as an EMT. Frank completed his Paramedic training at Johnson
County Community College
in January 1991, graduating 2nd in his class, and was promoted to Supervisor /
Battalion Chief in December 1991.
Growing up in a
rural setting east of Manhattan, Kansas, Frank’s interest in helping people in
time of need was fueled by watching Johnny and Roy from Squad 51 on the
television show “Emergency”. In 1985, while attending Kansas
State
University, Frank attended
an EMT class at Manhattan Vo-Tech and graduated 2nd in his class of 16 gaining
his EMT certification. His first EMT position was with the Louisburg
– Paola Ambulance Service from 1986
to 1988. Frank received Instructor / Coordinator certification in 1995 and
teaches First Responder, EMT, and continuing education courses for Miami
County
EMS. He is dedicated to
his chosen career and helping the people of the community.
Frank resides
in northeastern Miami
County with his wife and
3 children.
