Bob began his EMS
career in 1988 as
a rescue squad member for the city of Shawnee Rescue squad.
After obtaining his EMT
certification in 1989, Bob took a position at Medevac/AMR and moved to Topeka,
where he spent 16
years, working his way up the ranks, and left AMR in 2005 as an Operations
Supervisor. Along with EMS, Bob became a certified law enforcement officer in
1994, and had worked as a police officer for 18 years before retiring in 2013,
and continuing his EMS
career.
Bob joined the Miami County EMS
organization in October 2013, and was
promoted to Lieutenant in March 2014. Bob was again promoted to C-shift
Battalion Chief in June 2014. Along with his duties as a Battalion Chief, he is
also a flight medic for Lifeteam based out of Emporia, Ks.
Bob holds many licenses
and
certifications, and over the years has taken, and maintained several specialized
skills such as tactical medic, rescue diver, and as off the wall as it may
sound, certified home inspector.
Bob currently resides
in Prairie Village, Ks, and
enjoys hobbies like fishing, and watching his kids play
sports.
