C-Shift Battalion Chief

Bob began his EMS career in 1988 as a rescue squad member for the city of Shawnee Rescue squad.  After obtaining his EMT certification in 1989, Bob took a position at Medevac/AMR and moved to Topeka, where he spent 16 years, working his way up the ranks, and left AMR in 2005 as an Operations Supervisor.  Along with EMS, Bob became a certified law enforcement officer in 1994, and had worked as a police officer for 18 years before retiring in 2013, and continuing his EMS career.

Bob joined the Miami County EMS organization in October 2013, and was promoted to Lieutenant in March 2014.  Bob was again promoted to C-shift Battalion Chief in June 2014.  Along with his duties as a Battalion Chief, he is also a flight medic for Lifeteam based out of Emporia, Ks.

Bob holds many licenses and certifications, and over the years has taken, and maintained several specialized skills such as tactical medic, rescue diver, and as off the wall as it may sound, certified home inspector.

Bob currently resides in Prairie Village, Ks, and enjoys hobbies like fishing, and watching his kids play sports.
